Classroom Visits

Classroom photo Elementary, Grades 2nd thru 6th

This 3-part program includes two visits to your classroom by a Humane Educator with lessons, an animal visit and additional activities. Each visit lasts 75-90 minutes. The third visit is a 2 hour field trip to the Humane Society & SPCA of Sonoma County where children will have a lesson and tour of the facility. Fee $125. Classroom size 15-35 students. Minimum of 2 chaperones during field trip (if this is a concern, please contact the Humane Outreach Coordinator).

 

Middle & High School, Grades 7th thru 12th

One classroom visit (approximately 75 minutes) discussing animals in the media, history of the animal welfare movement, and careers with animals. Fee $75.

 

Transportation

Bus transportation is available for Elementary Classroom field trips on a limited basis. This is primarily reserved for low-income and underserved schools. Please inquire if needed.

Download the Elementary Classroom Application form. Middle and High School teachers please call Beth Karzes at (707) 542-0882 ext. 232. You must be a teacher to enroll a classroom in either program. Space is limited.
