Our veterinarians are active members of the Association of Shelter Veterinarians (ASV). Veterinarians, technicians and nurses care for all animals as if they were their own.
Meet our Veterinarians
Jessica Baldwin, DVM
Dr Jessica Baldwin graduated from the UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital and has previously worked in a small animal and exotics practice in the Sacramento area. In January 2006 Dr. Baldwin moved to Sonoma County to work at the Humane Society Veterinary Hospital caring for both shelter animals and client owned pets. Dr Baldwin has a special interest in radiology, dermatology and small animal medicine. She lives in Sebastopol with her human family (husband Dave and two daughters), as well as her pet family of 1 dog ‘Toby’, 2 cats ‘Big Dude and Little Dude’, 1 snake ‘Mr Snake’, 2 parrots ‘Pickle and Hazel’, and a plethora of chickens .
Dan Famini, DVM
Dr. Dan Famini graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and has worked at the Humane Society & SPCA of Sonoma County since July of 2005. Dr. Dan is a third generation Sonoma County native and backyard poultry enthusiast. He co-leads the county-wide Veterinary Science 4-H project and is adjunct faculty at the Santa Rosa Junior College. Dr. Dan also helps out local wildlife rescues with veterinary services including Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue, Sonoma County Reptile Rescue and the California Bat Conservation Fund. He has conducted, presented, and published research on elephant locomotion, avian West Nile vaccination, and tortoise hypothyroidism. Dr. Dan lives in Santa Rosa with his wife Stephanie, daughter Sequoia, a skink Vermifuge, cockatiel Lagita, and a supportive trio of chickens.
