Steps to Becoming a Volunteer
Take the next step and volunteer. Here's how:
- You must be caring and compassionate to animals and members of the public.
- Volunteers must be 18 or older.
- Children between the ages of 11-18 are eligible through our Humane Education programs. Learn more here.
- You must first fill out an application and sign the Volunteer Release Form and mail or fax it in.
- Attend a volunteer orientation to help you choose a volunteer position.
- You will be asked to spend 2-3 hours each week volunteering for a minimum of 6 months. Schedules are flexible.
- Your reward will be warm animal kisses, the unconditional love of our shelter animals and the gratitude of people in whose daily lives you'll make a big difference.
